Linda, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, earned her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips
Graduate Institute (formerly California Family Study Center) in Tarzana. An abstract of her thesis, "The Determining Factors
in Successfully Treating Anorexia Nervosa in Young Women," was selected for publication in Phillips' 1998 Progress journal.
Both Progress and a copy of the thesis in its entirety are available in the Phillips Graduate Institute library.
A three-year internship at the Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills provided Linda with some of the highest
quality training and professional experience available in southern California. In addition to working at the center
with individuals of all ages on a variety of issues, she also made weekly visits to Beverly Hills High School and
Moreno High School, where she offered students personal guidance counseling.
Linda co-facilitated a parents' support group for Parents Anonymous in Canoga Park for two
years. She also worked with individuals, couples and teens whose lives had been impacted by trauma at the Trauma
Recovery Center in Westlake Village.
Linda spent close to a year serving as staff therapist at the Bella Vita in Pasadena, an
Intensive Outpatient Program and Partial Hospitalization Program for adults and adolescents recovering from eating
disorders. She ran numerous groups, and worked with individuals and their families on their road to recovery from anorexia, bulimia, or compulsive overeating.
In her Tarzana and Westlake Village private practice, Linda works with individuals, couples,
families and groups, specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, parenting teens, women's issues, relationship counseling, personal and spiritual growth, depression, anxiety, healing childhood trauma, and stress and anger
management.
As a mother of two teenage daughters, Linda brings extensive personal experience to the
practice of psychotherapy.
